Why a series of National Postcard Parties for Virginia - We know this election is a bellwether for the nation, and our postcards make a difference.

They show the candidate has real support from real people.
They provide useful information to voters in a friendly and accessible manner.
They are rewarding and therapeutic to the writer.
And perhaps most importantly, writing postcards together helps build a community engaged in saving democracy.

Our postcards are most impactful on the state and local level. This is why we will be writing for Delegates and School Board races. For the first time in decades, Democrats are running candidates in all 100 Delegate districts! This is something to celebrate. So, we’re having a party!

Description

At these parties, the candidates will be the guests of honor and the focus of each program. Each party will feature 4-6 candidates who will be there to tell you about their campaigns, talk about what they are seeing and hearing in their districts, and most importantly, be in conversation with you. During the parties you can write for the candidate/s of your choice.

We will also have phone banking available provided by Grassroots Democrats HQ.

The schedule of candidates participating will be posted starting September 1.

REGISTRATION - Your Zoom Registration provides you with a unique individual link that can only be used by one person on the date you registered. Each party date requires a separate registration and will similarly provide you with a different individual link that can only be used by one person on that date. This process provides stronger security for everyone.

FORMAT: For the first 3 Parties (Sept. 8, 15 & 21), we will be hearing from and writing for Delegate candidates. The final Party (Sept. 29) will feature School Board candidates.

How to Participate

To participate you need to get your postcards and addresses before the event.

You can get addresses for the candidates of your choice through either Postcards4VA or Markers for Democracy.

To write for candidates through Postcards4VA, you need to be registered with Postcards4VA.
