MASS DEPORTATIONS - Take Action!
There is no federal legal obligation for local jurisdictions to use their resources to help with immigration enforcement.
MASS DEPORTATIONS
Contrary to what most people think: There is no federal legal obligation for local jurisdictions to use their resources to help with immigration enforcement.*
But police and sheriff’s departments often voluntarily assist ICE, despite the fact most states (including Virginia) have no laws requiring compliance. “Over the last decade, 70-75% of ICE arrests in the interior of the US have been handoffs from another law enforcement agency, be it a local or state jail or federal prison."*
What you can do:
Let everyone know we are not required to help ICE deport our community members.
