The remarkable Ms Margaret Morrison's Sunday morning speech at the 9th! Annual Summit's BADASS Brunch was one for the ages. She traced her story from her African ancestors’ capture and enslavement in South Carolina to her own childhood memory of colored only day at the zoo, and her mother’s fierce declaration that they were not second-class citizens. Ms Margaret has carried that badge of honor ever since — marching with John Lewis from Selma to Montgomery in 1965, and continuing to stand for justice and dignity to this day. Her story moved us all and deserves a place in our history books.
Stay tuned with us on the Friday Power Lunch to hear her wise words every week.
