Stop our Senators from Enabling Trump’s Cruel Mass Deportation Plan.

VOTE NO: Laken Riley Act, S.5

Soon the Senate will vote on the Laken Riley Act, S.5, a bill that:
➜ Inflames bigotry toward Latino migrants (with its very name).
➜ Gives Homeland Security tools to detain people without due process.
➜ Will bring terror to our communities and tear families apart.

This bill would require the Department of Homeland Security to arrest and detain (without access to bail) undocumented people charged with (not convicted of) non-violent crimes as small as shoplifting. (With no statute of limitations)

It will encourage racial profiling — harming Black, brown, Asian, and immigrant communities, undermining justice, and stripping away basic rights like due process.
