THE BUDGET
Painful program cuts and debt increases will fund tax breaks for billionaires.
“...in order to secure House passage — the final reconciliation bill must include historic spending reductions while protecting essential programs.” – Letter to House Republicans from Mike Johnson.
Of course it is not possible to ‘protect essential programs’ while slashing their budgets.
On Sat, April 5th, the US Senate agreed to Concurrent Resolution 14, establishing the US Government budget outline for fiscal year 2025. Bill passed 51-48 (Collins R-ME and Paul R-KY voted with the Ds). Dems offered tons of amendments that were voted down.
The bill now goes to the HOUSE

➜Call your GOP member of Congress: tell them you are strongly against cuts to Medicaid and Veterans benefits.

THE ‘SAVE’ ACT
Don’t let the so-called ‘SAVE’ Act (HR-22) become the law of the land!
The US House likely will vote this week on this Voter Suppression bill. The bill is expected to pass the House, but it can be stopped in the Senate – if our Dems and Independents VOTE NO ON CLOTURE!
1. Call your Congressperson: Tell them to vote NO on HR 22.
2. Call your Senators: Tell them to Stick Together and vote NO on Cloture.

Protect Federal Workers
Urge House members to cosponsor H.R. 2550, the “Protect America’s Workforce Act,” to nullify President Trump’s executive order that illegally attempts to eliminate collective bargaining rights and union representation across the federal government. The only sure way to stop the executive order is for Congress to pass H.R. 2550.
